Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNO): Air traffic at Srinagar International Airport has doubled, reflecting increased connectivity to the region, according to an official document.
The document, a copy of which was accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), states: “To accommodate the growing demand, the government is working on expanding Jammu Airport, with 908 kanals of land already transferred. It also mentions that night operations at Jammu Airport have been extended to 8 PM.”
It reads the administration is implementing online monitoring and mobile applications like Tameer Taraki and Hamari Sadak to ensure real-time supervision of infrastructure projects, including those related to air transport.
“Notably, these initiatives collectively aim to bolster Jammu and Kashmir’s connectivity, facilitating smoother travel and boosting economic growth in the region,” the document further states—(KNO)
